WHY VIETNAM IS AT THE TOP OF MY TRAVEL LIST
HO CHI MINH CITY (SAIGON), DALAT & NHA TRANG - VIETNAM
Published By, KAYDEN PHAN
My Parents are both from Saigon which is now know as Ho Chi Minh City, the most populous metropolitan area in South Vietnam. I’ve heard many chilling stories and struggles my mom went through to fight her way out of poverty and he countries turmoil to reach freedom. I was compelled to make this my first international venture to dive deeper into my heritage. Once a war zone and now one of the most beautiful top travel destinations, it’s not hard to see why it’s become so popular. The culture is so rich, the food is amazing, fresh fruit is abundant, beautiful beaches, lots of shopping and the overall cost of this country is cheap. I’ve put together a list tips you should know before traveling here and also must see destinations.
HO CHI MINH CITY (SAIGON)
Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) is the heart of the south and has constantly been thrusting this country in forward direction. It’s become home to the finest hotels along side the most quaint and affordable guesthouses. You can find yourself lost in the high energy filled night life, bazaar like markets, tasty street stalls and chic boutiques. Here are some just sees!
-War Remnants Museum
-Giac Lam Pagoda
-Cu Chi Tunnels
Catch a break from the hectic high octane city life and come visit Dalat. It’s a beautiful blend of abandoned french-colonial villas mixed with Vietnamese flair. The colorful flower gardens and perfect weather give Dalat a romantic vibe to enjoy lots of activities!
-Linh Son Pagoda
Beach resort shorelines and high-rises skylines make Nhg Trang stand out from neighboring cities. There’s something to do for everyone, you can walk the sculpture gardens, beautiful parks, wander the streets shopping for a bargain, weather you chose to relax on the beach or indulge in the atmosphere of the party town night life, this city has it all. Here are some of my recommendations.
